Zipline Trolley Launchers

The skyTECH launcher was created out of necessity for a system that could reduce operator error by loading the entire system and testing connections in that state before releasing guests. The simple, yet reliable and effective, design allows the guide to easily release guests with the pull of the launcher handle. A left- or right-handed spring (based on desired actuation direction) keeps the handle horizontal and returns it to that position when released after launching guests.

An anodized CNC machined aluminum construction allows for low weight and ultimate corrosion resistance. The internal cable clamp is anodized with an engineered hard coat to give it amazing abrasion resistance and significantly prolonger service life.

Maintenance of the launcher is easy and low cost allowing for reliability and repeatability.

Modular Construction

• Launcher is made up of modular components, meaning parts can be easily replaced by the end user should they wear out over time.

Ease of Use

• The simplistic design and minimal number of parts makes the launcher very reliable and easy to maintain.
• Operation is very straight forward and requires virtually no additional training for guides.
• Maintenance is limited to the occasional need to re-grease the unit through the grease fittings on the side of the unit. This will keep the actuation smooth and consistent for years of service.

Left and Right Actuation

• Depending on your system’s configuration, the launcher can be oriented to have the handle facing left or right to allow easy access for the guide’s use.

• Fully weight load the system before launching guests to ensure all connections are made and properly secured.
• Complete last-minute harness adjustments with the guest in a seated position.
• Increase throughput by relying solely on the guides to launch guests rather than the guests launching themselves.

Operator’s Manual – Launcher

The skyTECH E-Launcher is an electronically actuated launching device designed to work seamlessly with the skyTECH Rocket or Turbine (and other small trolleys), depending on the selected configuration. Designed primarily to be integrated into our Safe Launch system, it can also be used as a standalone with appropriate electrical additions and controls.

The body is made of durable and weather-resistance acetal and features an integrated mounting pocket for the linear actuator that keeps it protected and out of harm’s way. The wear items such as the Rocket E-Launcher’s teeth and the Universal E-launchers wear inserts are also made of acetal to minimize friction and wear while maintaining strength and durability. They are also easily replaceable should they wear out over time.

Modular Construction

• The E-Launcher is made up of modular components, meaning parts can be easily replaced by the end user should they wear out over time.
• Additionally, the e-launcher can be converted from a Universal to Rocket E-Launcher, or vice-versa, by swapping out the arm assembly and flipping the unit’s orientation.

• A single actuator is used to open and close the arms simultaneously.

Safe Launch Integration

• The E-Launcher integrates with our Safe Launch system to practically eliminate the risk of premature launch. A set of redundancies and sensors must be proven in order for the system to allow the launcher to actuate.

Simultaneous Launch Possibilities

• Due to the nature of an electronic launcher, we are able to have a single guide launch anywhere from 1 to 10 or more guests all at the same time with the press of a single button, allowing all participants to experience side-by-side flight.
